However, the score gained from jewels depends on the Discharge's power and the degree of overkill, and the way the bullet-clear wave catches enemy bullets is complex, so reaching a high level will not be easy. · Overkill and Enemy Kill Points With C Equipment, overkilling an enemy with the Discharge raises that enemy's kill points by up to 3x (bosses excluded). · Overkill and Jewel Points When destroying an enemy that has a full-screen bullet-clear effect, overkilling grants a bonus value to the jewels produced. Also, the bonus granted to jewels generated by the bullet-clear wave depends on the Discharge's power. · The Effect of Accel Drive During Accel Drive, the coins from enemy kills increase, and jewels appear when you erase enemy bullets with the Discharge. It is a chance to boost both the multiplier and the score, but deciding which to favor is a very difficult problem. · The Bullet-Clear Wave in Boss Fights During a boss fight, the items produced by the bullet-clear wave are jewels for the first 2/3 of the time and coins thereafter. Once half the time has passed, no more items appear (so looping to farm has no meaning). ◆ Scoring (S Equipment)S Equipment scoring is complex, but in essence you set the combo bonus value through overkills during normal play, then use Delayed Shift and Ethereal Shift in good balance to earn high scores. However, each shift also brings enemy reinforcements, so simply reaching the heights is difficult. Depending on the situation, you may even need to pay the cancel cost to release Delayed Shift or Ethereal Shift. · Performing Overkills While you are dealing damage with "Assault Shoot" or "Blade", the enemy is not destroyed until those attacks end. Using this brief window to pound damage into the enemy produces an overkill. Overkill is the fundamental technique for both gauge charging and scoring. Note that an enemy whose durability has dropped below 0 stops firing bullets from that instant, so you will not be counterattacked by an enemy during an overkill. · Setting Bonuses via Overkill During normal play, overkilling a medium or larger enemy while no combo bonus is set will set the combo bonus. The combo bonus is added to your score when destroying enemies, collecting items, and so on, and also relates to the amount of coins that appear during Ethereal Shift. The combo bonus is reset at the end of each shift. Also, performing a Raid automatically breaks the combo and sets a new value, so there is no need to intentionally break the combo before a Raid. · Multi Kill When a combo bonus is set, destroying several medium/large enemies at once with Assault or Blade applies a multi-kill coefficient to the combo bonus. · Combo Bonus Inheritance When you break the combo bonus and set it again, a certain portion of the previous combo bonus value is inherited as a base value. To set a high combo bonus, intentionally breaking the combo is also important. · Coins and the Multiplier Gaining coins through normal enemy kills or via Ethereal Shift raises the score multiplier. Since this multiplier affects nearly every score gain, raising the multiplier first is important. · Jewels and Score Mainly during Delayed Shift, erasing enemy bullets lets you collect large amounts of jewels. Jewels make up the bulk of your score and are the element granted the largest combo bonus, so collecting more jewels is essential to raising your score. · Counter Burst If Ethereal Shift is active when a boss changes form or is destroyed, you enter the Counter Burst state. In Counter Burst you can raise the boss's time bonus, there is no penalty for being hit, and you can deal extremely high overkill damage, making it very important for boss-fight scoring. Counter Burst can also raise the Delayed Shift gauge, so it carries great meaning for strategy as well. · An Example Scoring Flow (Stage start) → Use Blade and Assault to overkill medium enemies and raise the Delayed/Ethereal gauges → Set a high combo bonus value with a Raid, etc., then activate Delayed Shift or Ethereal Shift → Collect coins or jewels → Re-set the combo bonus → Activate Delayed or Ethereal Shift → (repeat from here) [ Previous Page ] [ Back to Index ] |
